What Are You Going To Do With Your Land? Part 2

Last week we covered the restrictions in Yavapai County and Coconino County. (CLICK HERE to read last week’s post!)

This week we’ll cover Mohave, Navajo, and Apache Counties or as I call them – my Wild, Wild, West Counties.

Mohave County- Yucca, Golden Valley, Dolan Springs, Gateway Acres

Most of the properties in these areas are off the grid. No electric. Haul your water or have it delivered to your water tank. During the Monsoon season, some of the properties are difficult to get to as washes are prevalent in the area.

I probably have six families in these areas living off the grid.

  • You will have no problems with camping or leaving your RV or Motor home on the property as long as you want.
  • Alternative housing and waste disposal systems are acceptable with approval by the County.
  • It will require building permits for Mobile Homes or Houses.
  • If you don’t trash the property, the County won’t bother you.

Navajo County- Ranch of the Golden Horse

  • I don’t have many properties in this County but it appears the County is flexible with allotted time for camping, RVing, or travel trailer use.
  • I have not heard of any issues as far as length of time you can use the property for these purposes.
  • Alternative housing and waste disposal systems are acceptable with County permission.
  • Keep your land clean and the County won’t bother you!

Apache County- Show Low Pines, Park Show Low, White Mountain Paradise Show Low Paradise

  • The County is real flexible with what you want to do with your property.  A lot of territory and a small County budget.
  • Year round camping, RVing, travel trailer is no problem in this County.
  • The County will work with you for alternative housing and waste disposal systems.
  • People are real friendly in the area and if you get a property with neighbors, they work together to watch each other’s properties. But usually you won’t have any neighbors except wild animals and the occasional cow.

I have 12 families that I sold land to that have built a house on their property, live in a travel trailer, or even bought one of those sheds with a porch and live on the property. I have seen a couple of properties with  storage containers that they have converted into a home.

Again, keep your property clean and the County won’t mess with you!
